These songs have made their way onto pretty much all my playlists lately, from my Summer Days playlist to my current running mix. Here's SGL on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert:

New Eddie Berman!!
Sorry for the exclamation points. I'm a little excited about this one.
It's been a long time coming on this one.
Eddie's music has always been a welcomed, warm experience. A sweet evening breeze, a wistful stare into the distance while your mind wanders, a bittersweet wave of emotions that catches in your throat, a faraway feeling, a homey-ness, a deja-vu.
It's both folksy and folky, it's refined plucking guitar threaded throughout for an almost ethereal, but raw and confidently exposed listening experience.
You may remember his remarkable videos with Laura Marling - they've become a bit of a musical pairing over the last few years - including their sublime cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Dancin in the Dark" as well as their cover of Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone", and a performance of Eddie's "Help Me When I Say" (below). A pair matchmade in folk singer-songwriter heaven, really.
Anyway, Eddie's got a long-awaited new album out this week called "Before the Bridge," which is every bit as remarkable as everything else he's done. You can listen on Spotify here:
